about 8:30 in the morning, on my third day living on campus. this is
kind of becoming hell. i'm going to probably sleep like a rock after this.

it's a little past midnight, and for those who aren't in the know, i've just begun my week-long campus-confinement project.
the rules are simple. for one schoolweek, i can't leave campus, except in the case of a dire emergency. i will be
self-sufficent, living off of only what i can carry, and not relying on friends to store and provide me with things other
than food. i can only access spots which are open to all students, so no spending the night in places like the
news-letter office or in some kid's dorm. and that's about it. for one week, i must live on-campus, conducting all of
my business from campus. it's gonna be one hell of a week.

howdy folks! mmm, positive things happening, my friends, positive things. i have several possible
job opportunites lined up, we'll see. don't want to jinx any of them, so i'm gonna stay hushhush about
that. also i've recently acquired some excellent music, including several explosions in the sky albums, the
ever-amazing quasimoto, panda bear, apostle of hustle, and, the most awesome of all, the soundtrack to
chopping mall, a really cheesy 80's horror film. this thing kills. literally. it slays me. alright, more to come later.

ah, back to the rhythm of classes, etc. picked up some good comics yesterday;
scalped, this is a new vertigo title, and it looks pretty promising (despite some
minor flow problems). the innocents, released through fantagraphics, translated
from italian, written and drawn by this dude Gipi, this one is absolutely fantastic. i really
recommend it. comics comics no.2, this one is sort of a newspaper thing, which
is also really cool. the content is pretty good (some of it stretching perhaps to be too artsy),
but more importantly it's inspiring me to release my own newspaper-format comics thing... top
secret... don't tell anyone yet... but a monthly project i'm planning for 2008... more TBA...
